We want anyone to be able to check, build and export a resume on ResumeVera, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard only, magnification or high contrast settings. This page says what we aim for, how we test, and where we know we fall short.
Our target
We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That is a target, not a claim that every page meets it today.
How we test
- Before a release we run an automated check (axe) on the pages most people use: the home page, the resume checker, the builder, templates, pricing, sign in and sign up, resume examples, guides and how scoring works. It runs at phone and desktop width and includes text contrast. We do not release with a new serious or critical problem on those pages.
- Form fields have visible labels, and errors are written out, not shown by colour alone.
Automated tools find only part of what matters. Keyboard order and whether a screen reader makes sense of a page still need a person, and we have not yet had a full manual audit.
Known limitations
- The live resume preview in the builder is a visual rendering. Edit your content in the form fields beside it, which are fully labelled; the preview does not add anything the form does not.
- Exported PDFs are built for applicant tracking systems to read. We have not tested them against the PDF/UA standard for assistive technology. The DOCX export is the better choice if you need to edit or read the file with a screen reader.
- Pages outside the list above, such as older blog posts and salary tools, are not yet part of the automated check.

If something stops you from using ResumeVera, email support@resumevera.com and tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you use if you are happy to share it. We aim to reply within two business days. If we cannot fix it quickly, we will help you get the result another way, for example by sending you the export you need.
