Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and ResumeVera, based in India. ResumeVera is run by an individual rather than a company, and saying so plainly matters more than sounding larger. Using the service means you accept these terms.

1. What the service is

ResumeVera analyses resumes and generates resume documents, cover letters and related text using automated systems, including third-party AI models. It is a drafting and review tool. It is not career advice, legal advice, or a recruitment service, and it does not submit applications on your behalf.

2. The score is an estimate

The ATS score is our own estimate of how an applicant tracking system is likely to read your resume. It is not produced by Workday, Greenhouse, Taleo, iCIMS or any employer's system, and no employer has reviewed or endorsed it. Every ATS is configured differently by the company running it, so no score anywhere can tell you what a specific employer will do. A high score is not a prediction that you will be contacted, and a low one is not a prediction that you will not be.

3. AI-generated content is yours to check

Text this service generates can be wrong. Models paraphrase, and they can introduce claims, dates, job titles or numbers that are not accurate about you. You are sending these documents to employers under your own name, so:

• Read everything before you use it
• You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you submit, including text this service drafted
• Do not rely on generated content to be original, and do not assume it is free of resemblance to other text

4. Your account

You need an account for the paid features. Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One person per account. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 16.

5. Your content

Your resume and everything in it stays yours. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service for you: to store, process and transmit your content so it can be analysed, rendered and exported. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

We do not sell your resume, and we do not use it to train AI models. How it is stored, how long it is kept and how to delete it are in the privacy policy.

6. Payment

• Everything is a one-time payment. There is no subscription, nothing renews, and we never charge a card again without you buying something again
• Prices are set per country rather than converted, and the price you see at checkout is the price you pay
• Payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card details
• Prices shown exclude any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you are. Where a tax applies it is shown before you pay
• A receipt is emailed to your account address after every successful payment

7. Refunds

There is a 14-day refund window, with conditions and named exceptions set out in the refund policy, which forms part of these terms. It is a policy rather than a guarantee, and the policy page says exactly when it applies and when it does not.

8. What you may not do

• Upload content that is not yours to upload, or that infringes someone's rights
• Resell, redistribute or white-label the service or its output as your own product
• Scrape, bulk-download or programmatically access the service outside any documented API
• Attempt to bypass payment, rate limits or access controls
• Upload malware, or probe or attack the infrastructure
• Submit another person's personal data without their knowledge

9. Availability

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time, and features may change. Where the law gives you rights that cannot be excluded, nothing here removes them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including lost opportunities, lost earnings, or an application that was unsuccessful. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.

Some places do not allow these limits. Where that is so, they do not apply to you.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, that is being used to attack or defraud the service, or where we are required to. We will tell you why.

If we discontinue the service

If ResumeVera shuts down, we will give reasonable notice, keep exports working during that notice, and refund any unexpired pass on a pro-rata basis.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept it. Changes never apply retroactively to a purchase you already made.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law where you live, and you may be able to bring a claim locally.
