The Resume Headline is the single most important field on Naukri for recruiter search visibility. Formula: [Years of experience] [Role] | [Top 2–3 skills] | [Industry or specialisation]. Example: "4+ Years Software Engineer | Java Spring Boot AWS | Fintech & E-commerce Platforms".

Key Skills (up to 15 skills)

Add exactly 15 skills — Naukri weights the skills section heavily in search. Do NOT use vague soft skills like "communication" or "leadership". Use specific technical and domain skills that appear in the JDs you are targeting. The first 5–6 skills are shown prominently in recruiter search results.

Current & Expected CTC (both fields)

Fill BOTH current CTC and expected CTC — profiles without these fields are filtered out of many recruiter searches that specify a salary range. Set a realistic expected CTC based on market research (AmbitionBox, Glassdoor India). You can edit this any time.

Notice Period

Fill this field accurately. Recruiters frequently filter by notice period — profiles that show "Immediate" or "15 days" get significantly more responses than profiles showing "3 months" for urgent requirements. If you have served notice already, update this field proactively.

Work Experience (with detailed descriptions)

Add all work experience with specific responsibilities and quantified achievements. Naukri scans the experience descriptions for keyword matching. Each role description should have 4–6 bullet points with numbers wherever possible.

Education (with percentage or CGPA)

Add all educational qualifications from Class 10 onwards. Include percentage or CGPA. For freshers: add final-year project title and description here — it adds relevant keywords to your profile.

Profile Summary (250–300 words)

The profile summary is indexed by Naukri's search engine. Write a keyword-rich summary that mentions your role, industry, top skills, and career goals. Include the exact job title you are targeting at least once.

Profile Booster / Featured Profile — WORTH IT

Pushes your profile to the top of recruiter searches for 30 days. Priced at ₹699–₹1,499. The most useful premium feature for active job seekers — especially if your profile is fully optimized. Consider this for 1–2 months when actively job-hunting.

Priority Applicant (Paid Boost) — SOMETIMES USEFUL

Your application is highlighted to recruiters and moved up in the applicant list. Costs ₹99–₹299 per month. Useful for very competitive roles where you are likely qualified but need visibility. Not worth it for mass-applying to hundreds of roles.

Naukri 100 (Resume Writing Service) — SKIP

Naukri's professional resume writing service. Priced at ₹1,199–₹2,499 depending on experience. Quality varies by writer — if you have a good resume already, skip this.
