If you are an engineering graduate, GATE is usually your entry point into a PSU, not a separate written exam. Here is the process most PSUs follow, from your GATE result to a final offer.

The PSU Biodata Format, and How It Differs From a Resume
Once you are shortlisted, most PSUs ask you to submit a biodata in their own prescribed format rather than the resume you might use for a private-sector application. The format is usually issued as part of the application itself, but the structure tends to follow a consistent pattern.
